Our 5 most common errors

These are the 5 most common errors reported by users of Spinnaker. They account for over 80% of errors. If you get one of these also read my post on tips for when things go wrong

Unable to connect to server
The connection to the server has timed out while attempting to connect to your database.
Possible reasons: Server is down or unreachable (which can be network related, or a firewall issue). Web server software is down or overloaded.
Action: Check other websites are available. If they are, take a screenshot of the error and send to your Project Manager to forward to Spiral.

Connection refused by server
The web server responds but refuses a connection.
Possible reasons: Overloaded web server or other internal server problem.
Action:  Try again in 5 minutes. If you get the same error, take a screenshot of the error and send to your Project Manager to forward to Spiral.

Timeout while trying to load the web page
A connection was established, but the HTML page load has timed out.
Possible reasons: Overloaded web server or network/internet connection.
Action:  Try again in 5 minutes. If you get the same error, take a screenshot of the error and send to your Project Manager to forward to Spiral.

HTTP Server Error 500 Internal Server Error
This is a general error message from the web server that it has encountered an internal problem.
Possible reasons: Hard to be specific here but is probably an error in Spinnaker.
Action: Take a screenshot of the error and send to your Project Manager to forward to Spiral.

Access denied – Sucuri Website Firewall error
This is our Firewall being a little over-zealous in protecting your study data.
Possible reasons: Hard to be specific but it’s usually an easy fix.
Action: Take a screenshot of the error and send to your Project Manager to forward to Spiral.
